SHARK EATS PHILLY: Part 1
In the first game of today's doubleheader, the Shark feasted on the Philadephia Phillies, and ideally some of their fans. With the game locked at 0 in the 7th, the Shark CRUSHED a 3-run home run into the second deck in Right Field. The no-doubter broke the game open. While the Phillies came back to tie the game at 3, Roger Bernadina blasted the Nats with enough confidence to win the opening game and ultimately, eat half the city...

Sharky Birthday Party
For the first time since the first two games of the season, Tyler and I went back-to-back with Nationals games. There were six Shark fans on Friday, and despite saying "what up" to the Shark before the game, the Nats fell to the pesky Marlins.
To top Friday, last night, we were part of a group of 12. In what will likely go down as the greatest birthday party in the history of the Sharkadina, my cousin Lucia and 5 of her friends, donned the Shark hoods, and celebrated turning 9 the best way possible... Cheering for Bernadina.
The hoods were used in the matter of which they were designed: for use by children (don't tell Tyler). The kids did there part in spreading the Shark love, describing the origin of the nickname to everyone who asked about the hoods and cheered ferociously when the Shark was visible on the field.
We were sitting in Section 305, which meant we really had to squint to see the Shark, but as he was the only non-human on the field, in addition to the dorsal fin, piercing through the back of his uniform, he wasn't too hard to spot.
It has been a long time since I was with a group of fans who cheered as loudly as this group did. Their enthusiasm rippled through the section, igniting a Shark spirit, which hasn't been seen since June 22nd. Additionally, it was nice to see that their enthusiasm about the Shark and the Nationals was not affected by the outcome of the game... The Nationals lost 4-1 and the Shark ended 0-4. He did come up with a man on second and nobody out in the 11th, but Davey Johnson ordered him to sacrifice Daddy Desmond over, instead of allowing him to win the game (COME ON DAVEY!).
Overall I had a good time and I hope those kids did too. Additionally, I hope they tell all their friends about the Shark, and they tell all their friends, who tell their friends, until everyone knows Roger Bernadina is the Shark and will always be.
Side notes:
Last week of the season, means it is the last chance for the Shark to feast on Major League pitching. Expect a late season feeding frenzy.

Side notes:
- The last game Tyler and I will be at this season is next Friday night. To everyone who is planning to attend that game: deck out in Shark gear. Lets have one more Shark Night of 2011.
- To everyone who didn't tell me on Friday that Werth and Morse weren't starting... Sh**k off.
- The Fantasy Baseball Playoffs have come down to the last day of the week for Tyler and I. We are tied as of 3:30PM with a ticket to the championship on the line. Tyler (The Shark CHOMPians) has to win against me (The Shark Tank) in order to advance, because I took the season series 10-9.

Shark Photopalooza
Well last night's game wasn't too good for the Nats (lost 3-0) or the Shark (0-4 with two strikeouts) but it was good for getting Shark pictures!
Before the game, Terry and I went down to the field to talk to the Shark. He showed us the healed gash on his hand and we talked about how excited we were to have back in the starting lineup. Our Twitter friend @sherry327 snapped a few pictures of the pre-game Shark conference:
During the game, we ran into a huge Shark Fan, Brian! He was sitting a few rows ahead of us and came back to chat about The Shark during the game. We had an extra hood, so we let him keep it for the rest of the game!
The Shark was struggling, so we tried to combine our Shark powers to give him strength, but it didn't work. :(

We were also finally on MASN last night! Here you can see us before the game. Terry is attentively looking at the dugout for the emergence of The Shark, I am and enjoying a beverage and Zac and Elizabeth are no doubt debating the decision to sit Mako Morse and Jayson Werth for Bernadina and Nix (or something like that).

There wasn't much to celebrate last night, but the good news is Terry and I going to the game again tonight! And Stephen Strasburg is pitching! It's Terry's little cousin (remember her?) birthday and she is having a Shark themed party at Nats Park (maybe we'll make one of these cakes)! Look for little girls running around in Shark hoods in the upper deck tonight! The Shark is batting second and playing right field tonight and he surely won't disappoint the Shark Birthday Party!

Shark Starts!
The Nats are on a five game win streak, they are in 3rd place in the NL East, and, oh yeah, ROGER "THE SHARK" BERNADINA IS FINALLY BACK IN THE STARTING LINE-UP!
First he was sent down to the minor leagues, then he cut his hand open on a typical, sweet, Shark-style diving play making him unable to grip a bat. Over the past week or so he entered the game occasionally as a pinch runner and last night in the Nats 10-1 crushing of the Mets he proved he could bat with a single in the 9th.
The timing could not be better. Terry and I plus four of our friends will be at the game tonight. That means SIX SHARK HOODS cheering on first base side. We'll be hard to miss tonight! Look for us on MASN and on the jumbotron.
I have a feeling the Shark will help propel the Nats to their sixth straight win tonight against the Marlins. He does love to devour fish. With Mako Morse and The Great Werth out of the lineup (don't tell Terry...he's starting them in the Fantasy playoffs against me) it's up to the Loch Nix Monster and Bernadina to bring the SHARK MODE!

PR Shark
While the Shark is still hampered by his hand injury, which has limited his playing time, he has still managed to dominate on the base paths.
By that, I mean Davey Johnson has used the Shark as a pinch runner. While that may not seem like much to you, it means that he is getting better. He is healing. Soon he will be bigger, stronger, and faster than ever. Watch out NL East...
Also, since this post is called PR Shark, I am going to spin this a little more. Barring the improbable, the Shark will be at full strength by tomorrow. By next Friday, when Tyler, myself, Jumpin Zac Flash, Elizabeth, and two mystery Sharkadina's arrive at the game, the Shark will be at super strength. The most powerful player in the league.
Watch out for him this week. He's ravenous for fresh opposing player meat.

iPhone Sharkadina
Dear Google,
Thank you for finally creating an App that allows me to easily rest sharkposts from my phone. I wish you had created it earlier, for example, when I was traveling to Michigan/Chicago over Labor Day Weekend, but I will take what I can get.

And now for an update on the Shark:
His hand is still cut. He didn't play in the opening game of today's double header. Also, he is flooding the DC metropolitan area, to make his work environment a little more like his home life. Nationals Park's center field will literally be an ocean when the Shark gets back out there.
Unfortunately, rain means canceled games...which is totally lame if you had tickets to yesterday's game and were jerked around by Bill Ladson's tweets... First the game was unofficially called, then unofficially on, then when we get off the Metro, it is officially called! What the Sh**k?!? Come on!! Speed Racer is not a good nickname (in case anyone thought suddenly that "Speed Racer" was a worthwhile addition to society)! It's terrible! You betrayed my trust, Bill!
The next game Tyler and I (and 4 other Shark fans) will be at a game, which we will get there via lifeboat, will be next Friday, September 16th. Keep an eye out for us!

Shark Sliced
ALRIGHT METS, WHO WAS IT?!?!
Who jammed a sharktonite tainted razor blade into second base yesterday, knowing that the Shark would slice his hand on it while sliding into the bag?!
I know it was you, Jason Isringhausen! OR MAYBE IT WAS YOU JUSTIN TURNER! Why does he hate sharks so much. He's such a fishist. Willie Harris...? You lost your job fair and square last year. Everyone prefers the Shark to you, pal! Josh Satin, I don't know who you are, and I absolutely don't trust you. DANIEL HERRERA, you have a sick and twisted mind. You filthy animal!
Whoever it was, (I'm looking at you, Lucas DUDA) the Shark is now sidelined for a week to recover from the injury. He isn't sidelined from seeking his revenge on every person of the Mets organization, which he will do until he plays ball again.
Tyler and I are going to the game tomorrow (can't believe we just missed Strasburg) so keep an eye out for the hoods. We'll cheer for the Shark, regardless of the fact that he isn't playing.

De Haii is terug!
Hello Loyal Shark Fans!
We've waited a long time, but the time if finally here! SHARK IS BACK IN ACTION IN DC. Sharkadina is happy to report that we have confirmed Roger Bernadina's call-up from Triple-A Syracuse back to the Major League Washington Nationals. The news broke last night when Roger Bernadina wrote "De haai is terug!" on Facebook. It was easy for us to translate since we know how to say "Shark" in every language. He wrote: "The Shark is Back!"
It is not a coincidence that this is happening just days before Stephen Strasburg's first start in DC this year. Apparently, after Strasburg's Aug. 27 start for Syracuse in which Bernadina blasted a lead off home run in the 1st (video with announcers calling him the Shark coming soon) and followed up with a RBI double in the 6th, Strasburg told Nats GM Mike Rizzo: "I will never pitch in DC again unless The Shark is in the line-up." The Nationals management scrambled to backtrack on their previous mistreatment of Bernadina and made sure to promote him before Starsburg's first major league start this year.
I expect the Strasburg/Shark combo to prove deadly for many teams including the Dodgers next Tuesday night at Nats Park.
